Thumper is one of the cutest cartoon bunnies ever created. His childlike demeanor and innocence adds to his likability. What child that has owned a bunny, has not at least considered the name Thumper.

Thumper is on of the characters in the 1942 Walt Disney Classic, Bambi. The movie is based on the book Bambi, A Life in the Woods written by Felix Salten. Thumper is one of the three friends that Bambi, a new born male deer, hangs out with. Joining the two are Flower, a skunk, and Faline, a young female deer.

Together they share in forest adventures. Their fun comes to a saddening end when Bambi’s mother is shot by a hunter. This portion of the movie created quite a stir when the movie was released. In fact the movie still has its critics today.
